Description
A delicious and easy chicken and dumpling casserole with a cheesy filling and crispy dumplings.

- 12 oz frozen dumplings
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 4 green onions, sliced
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook the ground chicken until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add the garlic, ginger, green onions, cabbage, and carrots, then cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.
- Stir in the soy sauce, chicken broth, sesame oil, rice vinegar, black pepper, and cream cheese. Mix until the cream cheese melts into the sauce.
- In a small bowl, stir together the cornstarch and water, then pour it into the skillet and simmer for 1 to 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Spread a little sauce mixture on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Arrange a layer of frozen dumplings over the sauce, then spoon over some of the meat mixture and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used, finishing with sauce and mozzarella on top.
- Cover loosely with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes, then top with sesame seeds and serve warm.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, add red pepper flakes to the filling.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
