Description

A light and fluffy peppermint mousse topped with whipped cream and crushed candy canes, perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 225 g (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup crushed chocolate cookies or graham crackers
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Crushed candy canes or peppermint candies, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract; mix until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks.
  4. Gently fold whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until light and fluffy.
  5. Spoon a layer of crushed cookies into the bottom of serving cups.
  6. Pipe or spoon mousse over the cookie layer.
  7. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
  8. Top with whipped cream and crushed candy canes just before serving.

Notes

  • This mousse can be made a day in advance for easier preparation.
  • Feel free to substitute crushed graham crackers for the chocolate cookies if preferred.
