Description

Delicious chocolate-coated peanut butter Ritz Bits for a satisfying snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (8 ounces) Peanut Butter Ritz Bitz
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (can use salted)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (more, if needed)

Instructions

  1. Open the 8 ounce box Peanut Butter Ritz Bitz and pour them into a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter, and 1/4 cup unsalted butter. Place the pan over low heat and stir constantly until the mixture is smooth and fully melted. Be careful not to let it scorch. If you cook the chocolate too long, it will seize up and you’ll end up with clumps and it won’t coat the crackers evenly. So just cook until melted and combined.
  3. Remove the melted chocolate mixture from the heat and immediately pour it over the Ritz Bits.
  4. Use a spatula to gently (but quickly) toss and coat the crackers evenly.
  5. Add 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Stir everything together until the crackers are fully coated. Add more powdered sugar as needed to make sure everything gets coated.
  6. Spread the coated Ritz Bitz onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or wax paper.
  7. Let them cool completely at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
  8. Once cooled, transfer the Puppy Chow to an airtight container or serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure to stir continuously while melting to prevent scorching.
  • Adjust the amount of powdered sugar to your preferred sweetness.
