Delicious peanut butter cookies loaded with M&Ms and chocolate chips.

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup M&Ms
Instructions
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture to form the dough.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and M&Ms, reserving a few for topping.
- Scoop cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet and chill for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the cookies for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are golden.
- Let cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.
- Serve warm or store in an airtight container.
Notes
- Make sure the butter is softened for easy mixing.
- Chilling the dough helps prevent spreading during baking.
