Description

Delicious peanut butter cookies loaded with M&Ms and chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup M&Ms

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture to form the dough.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips and M&Ms, reserving a few for topping.
  6. Scoop cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet and chill for 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Bake the cookies for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are golden.
  9. Let cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.
  10. Serve warm or store in an airtight container.
