Description

A delicious chocolate cake made with sour cream and chocolate pudding for extra moistness.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Sour cream (Full fat, Room temperature)
  • 1/3 cup Oil
  • 4 Eggs (Large, Room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup Water (Room temperature)
  • 1 box Chocolate cake mix (15 oz. box)
  • 1 box Instant chocolate pudding mix (3 oz. box)
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips (Mini, Semisweet)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add sour cream, oil, eggs, water and mix until smooth.
  2. Add cake mix, pudding mix, and mix until just combined.
  3. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Pour batter in 2 greased and floured loaf pan (Dimensions: 8×4). You can also use a 10-12 cup bundt pan.
  5. Toss some more chocolate chips on top, if you like.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45-50 minutes or until an inserted toothpick in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool down and drizzle a glaze, if you like.
  8. Enjoy!

  • You can add a glaze on top for extra sweetness.
  • This cake can be stored at room temperature for a few days or refrigerated for up to a week.
